Coldplay Concert, Munich, 29th August

We've been Saturday the 29th of August at the open air Coldplay concert in Munich. (This is a postponed post;-))

The concert was great!
During one of my favorite Coldplay's song "Yellow" (You can hear it here: http://www.last.fm/music/Coldplay/_/Yellow) big yellow balloons were thrown over the public.

Also later thousands of coloured paper butterflies were blowed to the crowd.

The fireworks were nice and the play between video and music really fine.

At the end of the concert an extra album (Left Right Left Right Left) was distributed for free. You can download this album for free simply by entering an Email adress at coldplay.com here.

After the concert I got the motivation to research about the meaning of the "Viva la Vida" song.

The lyrics of the song "Viva la Vida" are not easy to understand. "Martin has explained the song lyric "I know Saint Peter won't call my name" in an interview with Q magazine: "It's about ... You're not on the list. I was a naughty boy. It's always fascinated me that idea of finishing your life and then being analyzed on it. And this idea runs throughout most religions. That's why people blow up buildings. Because they think they're going to get lots of virgins. I always feel like saying, just join a band ... That is the most frightening thing you could possibly say to somebody. Eternal damnation." (quote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_la_Vida)

 Depuis le 1er Septembre nous avons une nouvelle voiture, une Skoda Octavia Combi (qui remplace notre Peugeot 206 devenue trop petite et que nous avons revendue). Nous l'avons immatriculée à l'avance à Lindau. En Allemagne, il est possible pour un petit supplément de choisir sa plaque, hormis bien sur les deux premières lettres pour le nom de la ville (LI pour Lindau). Deviner pourquoi nous l'avons choisi ainsi! ;-)

Lac de Constance, Mai 2009

Cette semaine, nous avons passé quelques jours au lac de Constance, dans un hôtel de luxe à Lindau avec special traitement pour futur-mamans :-) On a eu la chance d'avoir du très beau temps. cf lien vers l'album photo. Nous sommes montés depuis Bregenz au Pfaender avec le téléphérique, d'où on a un très joli point de vue. Le second jour nous sommes allés à Meersburg, un petit village avec un château au bord du lac.

Are we human or are we dancer?

Some weeks ago, I discussed with about the band “The Killers”, she didn’t know at once. By chance the song “Human” came on the radio and she could then make the match. I really like this song. Specially the refrain: “Are we human or are we dancer?” that brought out a polemic because of its self-exclusing nonsense (a dancer is also human…). See discussion in Wikipedia article. Judo Landesliga

Hier on avait une compet de judo par équipe (Landesliga). J'ai eu du mal à descendre en poids (sans doute que je me fais vieux) et j'avais dû aller au sauna vendredi pour transpirer 500g. Quelque part j'ai de plus en plus de mal à me motiver pour une compet. 

Cette fois j'ai tiré une fois. Je me suis pris un jeune qui normalement tire en -60 une liga au dessus. Sur un mouvement très explosif il m'a presque iponisé sur un renversement à la te-guruma partant bien d'en bas et explosé le nez en m'écrasant au sol avec son épaule.
J'ai continué le combat avec des nouillettes dans les deux narines un peu sur-révolté.
Et là c'est tout ce que j'aime dans le judo que j'ai ressenti: le mouvement qui vient de nulle part, de l'inconscient, dans un état d'esprit de non-mouvement. Je ne saurais décrire ce que je lui ai mis: une sorte de sutemi (sumi-gaeshi) où c'est mon bras droit qui a joué le rôle du pied. Ca m'a rappellé les sensations travaillés  avec Stéphane Traineau lors d'un stage d'été où ils nous a montré comment faire des balayages avec les mains au lieu des pieds. Un ippon, un grand instant jubilatoire. 
J'ai hâte de voir sur la vidéo de voir ce que j'ai fait :-)

Bach Chaconne

I’ve read last week this interesting article in the Washington Post :“What happens when one of the world’s best violinists plays in a metro station for change?”

It reminded me of the beauty of the Bach “Chaconne”. I would pretty much like to be able to play it on the guitar ;-)

Our trip was organized like this:
- arrival in Rio de Janeiro where we met Pascal and Helene. We spent there two days; first day we've been to Corcovado. Second day to Pao de Sucar.
- Costa Verde, Paraty with a nice boat tour
- a few days in Resende/Penedo by Pascal and Helene
We left Pascal and Helene and continued on our own.
- Flight to Iguassu. 2 days in Iguassu: one we've visited the barrage and the waterfalls from Brazilian side. On the second day we've visited the waterfalls from the Argentinian side.
- Flight to Salvador where we stayed 3 days.
- Catamaran to Morro de Sao Paulo, a beautiful island where we've been resting 5 days.
- Flight back to Rio, last night in Rio and on the next day, flight back home :-(

We really enjoyed our trip in Brazil a lot. We had a great time with Pascal and Helene. Thank you 2 for the perfect organization and everything. (I don't know why but I just remember of the Caipirinha with maracuja we had together in your home, Pascal :-))
